It's Christmas Season!

Well I love Christmas and all of the fun decorations!  We got back late Saturday afternoon from our trip and decided we would decorate and go get the Christmas tree on Sunday!  Benjamin is loving all the Christmas lights and enjoyed hanging the star on the tree!

Cheers to kicking off the fun holiday season!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well this year we have a lot to be thankful for!  We were able to spend Thanksgiving week in Maui with the entire family and we had a blast!  Benjamin did a great job on the plane ride, adjusting to a 4 hour time difference, and just overall adapting to a whole new place!  Since KU was playing in the Maui Invitational, Benjamin got to meet Big Jay in person....it was pretty funny!  Other than that, we played in the pool, played at the beach, ate lots of fresh fruit, and went on a ton of walks!  Here are some fun pics from the week!

We hope that you all had a great turkey day!

Enjoying the pep rally for KU's 1st game!

Happy Halloween a little late!

Benjamin had a great Halloween!  He really enjoyed pulling the candy out of the bowl and then placing it is in his pumkin.  He would continually stop and dump it out and then put it back in.  Needless to say we did not make it very far, but we had a great time.  He did great in his costume and he mastered the "mooooooo"!

Checking out my treats!

First Haircut

Well a couple of weeks ago we went for Benjamin's first haircut!  We finally decided to the bite the bullet and get rid of the mullet...he was starting to look a little too shaggy :)  The place was great and Benjamin sat in a yellow Jeep to get his haircut.  He was a little unsure about the whole thing, but we all made it through.  He looks like such a big kid now!

All ready!

The mullet is gone!!!!

Pumpkin Patch

Deanna Rose also has a great pumpkin patch.  Benjamin had a great time playing all of the fun games.  He loved the big slide and loved playing in the corn tub!

Deanna Rose Visit

A couple of weeks ago we went to Deanna Rose!  Benjamin continues to be very curious in animals and it does not matter the size!  It was a great fall day and we had a great time!

Fall Fun

Well here are some pictures from early fall, including a KU tailgate!  Benjamin is constantly loving the outdoors, which includes playing in the backyard, playing at the park, or simply going for walks!

15 Month Checkup

Sorry it has been so long since we have posted.  It has been a very busy fall...lots of wedding showers and lots of weddings.  I will post pictures this weekend with all the fun fall activities we have done!

In the meantime, I will fill you in on Benjamin's 15 month checkup.  He weighed 27 lbs and was 32 inches long (both in the 80th percentile).  He seems to be growing taller and slimming down, which does not surprise me because he runs 100 miles an hour when he is awake.  He is a busy little guy and continues to figure everything out.  He has mastered several words and ones we can actually understand, one being "no", which is not our favorite one.  He is using his sign language and has mastered "all done" and is getting much better at "please".  He is learning how to say "please"...one we are working very hard on!

He is still sleeping like a champ.  Goes down around 7 pm and generally does not make a peep until atleast 7 am.  He has gotten much better at sleeping at daycare ever since he moved to the 1 year old room.  He takes about a 2 hour nap each day.

We are having a blast with him right now!  He has developed such a darling personality and is at such a fun stage!  He continues to love doing anything outside and anything with Aspen!

I will be sure to post pictures this weekend and then some Halloween pics!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Fun at the Zoo and John Deer Windmill

Well 2 weeks ago we went back to Wichita for a wedding shower for my sister and stayed with Memo and PaPa.  On Saturday we went to the Sedgwick County Zoo and Benjamin thoroughly enjoyed walking through the zoo, petting the lambs, and feeding the giraffe.  He was such a trooper and walked a big portion of the zoo!  Then on Sunday we went out to Great Grandma Winkelman's house and Benjamin fell in love with the John Deer windmill.  He kept taking Nana outside and he tried to climb it, but Nana decided it would be more safe to lift him up!  Other than that we had a great time in Wichita and it was very relaxing!!!  Here are some pictures to document our trip!

Please let me climb this thing!!!
