Snow Play and Crawling

Well we have had a busy past few weeks!  We started off the New Year with some snow.  Benjamin and daddy played outside, while mommy and Samantha stayed inside where it was warm.  We have been trying to find some fun activities inside considering it is just too darn cold to do much outside.  All of this indoor activity has allowed little Miss Samantha to master crawling.  She has been getting up on all fours and has rocked back and forth for the past month and a half and just in the past couple of days has she been making more progress.  Today she showed us that she has mastered the crawling.  It has been pretty fun to watch her figure it out.  Hard to believe that she is doing this at 8 months considering Benjamin did not crawl until about 10 months.  It is crazy to see how different these 2 kiddos are!  Here are just a few pictures from the past few weeks!

Holiday Festivities....Sorry A Little Late

First of all, I apologize for the really long post.  I was really bad about updating through the Christmas season!  Hope you all have a very blessed Christmas and New Year!

Well we kicked off the holiday season by cutting down our own Christmas tree!  We went with some good friends and Benjamin loved seeing Santa.  It was such a fun experience and Luke actually cut it down!

Then after getting the tree we came home and decorated it!  When we arrived back home Memo and PaPa were here so they helped decorate the tree with us! 

 

 

A couple of weekends before Christmas we went to Crown Center for some festive activities.  It was a blast and Benjamin loved seeing all of the decorations.  Then we made a gingerbread house and sugar cookies!  Benjamin was very much into decorating everything!

 

 

 

Then we hosted Christmas at our house. It was so nice because my (Megan's) family all came to us. We went to Christmas Eve mass.  Benjamin did so good throughout church and took money up to the basket at the alter for the first time.  It was so stinking cute!  I always love how kids go up and drop their gifts in the basket and I must say it brought tears to my eyes to see him do it.  It is just hard to believe that he is old enough to do it.  Then we came home and had a wonderful dinner and hung out.   Benjamin left cookies and milk for Santa.  The kids got to wake up in their own house and come down the stairs to see what Santa had brought.  Benjamin was so much fun to watch this year!  He got a couple of gifts opened and was so content with what he had received.  Then he started helping everyone else open their gifts.  We were so blessed this year!
