Adjusting!

Well this past week has been fun and challenging at the same time!  We brought Samantha home on Monday and then went head first into having 2 kids at home with a dog...all 3 needing lots of attention!  Benjamin has done a great job this past week and seems to be adjusting wonderfully.  He loves to read to his little sister and is very generous in sharing toys!  He wakes up each morning asking for "baby" and he is learning to "whisper" when she is sleeping.  Whispering to a 22 month old is quite a challenge :)

Samantha is doing great.  She sleeps like a rockstar and is eating great!  She is perfectly healthy and gaining weight great, so we are very blessed.

Here are a couple of pictures from the past few weeks!

Samantha Ann Has Arrived

Well we are happy to announce that our little GIRL has arrived!  Samantha Ann arrived on May 12 at 9:59 pm.  She weighed in at 8 lbs and 5 ounces and was 20 inches long.  She is doing fantastic.

Benjamin came up to meet her this morning and is a little unsure about everything but was very gentle with her.  I am sure things will get interesting when she actually comes home tomorrow.

Here is just one picture of the little lady, but we will post more once we get home!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommas and mommas to be!

Zoo Time

A few weeks ago we went to the zoo after Benjamin's nap, which was perfect because the clouds had set in a bit and it was not too hot outside.  The little guy is starting to get a little bit more timid with the animals at the zoo, but if he is far enough away he loves to tell us what each of them sound like.  This time he played on the playground and rode the carousel.  He walked most of the time, which was great for night time because he was exhausted.

Benjamin continues to amaze us each day with new words and the things he figures out.  He is quite the problem solver...he will figure out ways to climb up on things I would never expect him to be able to reach.  He is very interested in baking and helps mix anything and he loves to lick the spoon when we are all done.

We are still waiting on baby #2.  He/she was due yesterday, so just waiting each day to figure out what is going to happen!  We will keep everyone posted!

Happy Friday and Happy Mother's Day Weekend to all the mommies!
